Nova Backflow Appointment Policy

In order to keep our service fast & affordable, we have adopted this set of policies and notices.

On The Day of The Appointment, Someone Will Actually Be Walking Around the Property.

We will do our best to let you know when we are done, Sometimes we work early in the morning or late at night with headlamps and reflective vests, sometimes in the pouring rain, but typically just during May and June. This is the busy season due to the deadlines, and there are always lots of valves to test in a very short amount of time.

Remember to make arrangements for pets if they would otherwise be out in the yard. If a pet is present in the yard, we cannot guarantee a test completion.

If Your Device Fails Inspection Because There is an Aspect not ready for Testing, there will be a service fee

If a device is not ready to test, we have to charge a nominal fee for showing up anyway.

If the device fails for any of the following reasons:

  • Water not Turned On
  • Parts Missing
  • Needs Repair
  • Needs Replacement
  • Valve Not Installed
  • Valve Not On Site
  • Valve In an Unreachable Position
  • Yard Locked
  • Pet in Yard
 
Then a $25 fee will be assessed and another appointment will have to be scheduled to complete the testing, once the reason for skipping the test is resolved.

On your second appointment, if the issue that caused the issue in the first place still has not be addressed, then you will be charged the full testing fee. Any appointments made after that will require yourself or a representative onsite during the next appointment.
